The Photomic TN finder introduced centre-weighted metering to the F system, concentrating around 60 percent of its sensitivity on the central area of the frame, which gives you more reliable readings in mixed lighting than the averaged metering of earlier finders. The 50mm f\/2 Nikkor is a sharp, characterful lens that pairs beautifully with it. There are no automatic modes here. This is a camera for someone who wants to learn exposure properly or who simply enjoys the deliberate, considered process of setting everything by hand.
