Released in 1983, it was the first Olympus camera to experiment with autofocus, bringing that ambition into the compact, beautifully finished OM body that photographers already loved. With the 50mm f1.8 Zuiko fitted here it operates in aperture priority or full manual, with a focus confirmation indicator in the viewfinder letting you know when your subject is sharp. A 12-bar LED display shows the selected shutter speed clearly, and there's an exposure compensation dial for backlit scenes and tricky light.
