Description :
The Mamiya 645 Pro is a camera you choose when image quality genuinely matters. The 6x4.5cm negative is more than twice the area of a 35mm frame, which means finer grain, richer tonal range, and a depth in the final image that smaller formats simply can't match. Introduced in 1993, it brought a refined and highly modular system to medium format shooters, with interchangeable film backs that can be swapped mid-roll, interchangeable finders, and optional power winder for faster advance. The 80mm f2.8 Sekor C N is the classic standard lens for this system, equivalent to approximately 50mm in full-frame terms, sitting right at the natural human field of view. At f2.8 on medium format, subject separation is genuinely impressive, producing portraits with a quality and presence that full-frame 35mm rarely matches at the same aperture. A deliberate, rewarding camera that suits portrait work, landscape, studio, and documentary photography equally well.
